Not everybody speaks “print”. So if you got any questions this page can probably help you out.

Print types

Offset print

Offset printing is the technique used to print all common printed matter. Flyers, books and of course posters. I always make sure to select the best kinds of paper for my offset prints and try to use as much recycled and/or FSC certified papers when possible. Available sizes up to A0.

Riso print

A Riso printer is a special stencil based printer from Japan. Riso prints are available in wide variety of colourful inks. All colour layers in the prints are separately printed on top of each other, just like screen printing.

Riso printing has a very low impact on the environment. The inks made from rice oil and the stencils are produced from plant fibers. Keep in mind that the prints are oil based and will never fully dry. Available sizes up to A2.

Screen print

Also known als silk screen print. A technique where the design is build up by printing multiple coloured layers upon each other. All of this is done by hand so screen prints usually have slight imperfections. All inks are also mixed by hand and available in a wide spectrum. From flashy neon, earthy tones or pastels. My screen prints are usually limited editions, up to 50 prints per design. Available sizes up to B2 (50 x 70 cm).

Sizes

Do you have any other sizes available?

All available sizes are in the product options of the prints. If your preferred option is not there it means that print is not available in the size you want. If you really want a print in a certain size feel free to reach out and I can check if I can help you out. Usually this cost more than the standard sizes.

Custom sizes

If you want a print in a custom size let me know before ordering. That way I can calculate the price of that particular print. Because it is a custom order expect to pay more than the regular prices.

Where should I hang my print?

The sun if the enemy of all printed matter. UV light will over time destroy the pigments in the prints. Especially neon colours are vulnerable to this. Keep this in mind when hanging/placing your print. I would suggest against placing your prints in direct sunlight. Alternatively you can use a frame with UV filter or a UV protective spray.

Flattening a rolled up poster

My prints bigger than A3 size are shipped in a tri-fold cardboard tubes. This means they have been in a rolled up state for quite a while when arriving. The best way to de-roll them is fully spreading the print while placing some heavy books on top of the poster. Be careful to use clean book. If you want to be extra careful place a blank sheet of paper on the poster before placing the books. Leave the print like this for a while. Voila, ready to go.
